Meet Michelle Jackson

As our Town she Clerk serves as the link between Council and citizens.

The Office of Clerk/Treasurer for the Town of East New Market provides clerical, record keeping and administrative functions to the Council and the Manager. In addition, she performs many tasks that assist in guiding and managing the operation of local government policy and law. Below are just a few of her responsibilities as Town of East New Market Clerk/Treasurer.

  • Manages requests to speak to Council
  • Collects information and prepares Council agendas and other information for Council
  • Collects, organizes, and maintains records
  • Serve as a notary of the public
  • Records and submits Council meeting minutes
  • Manages all monies received in care of the town
